Well it had to happen. Joe got bit by the Bi-Slob bug. See what you started Chris, Dave, and Dennis. Just kidding. Here is a photo Joe sent me.

Joe sent me an email with some photos. He has been busy during your cold winter. Looks like he will have a Barnstormer and a Privateer ready for Cheezehead 2010!! Below are the photos.

Hey Joe sent me an email with what he is building. From what I hear he got the building bug after hanging out with Mike. Below is the email and some photos of what he has got done so far. I hope to get photos of everyone winter project.

Hi Paul, Here are the pictures of the Privateer that you requested. 1. Is the rudder which was missing from the kit, so I made one up from pieces of balsa. 2. Is an overview of the wing, tail and fuselage. 3. I tried to get a closeup of the soldered flap to elevator horn. 4. Shows the geodesic formers which make for an extremely strong body. 5. Is a mistaken picture 6. Is a view of the eyelet type adjustable leadout. Also, notice that the wingtips are planked strips of 1/16 balsa. I didn't have any balsa big enough to hollow out, so I did it that way. Should be lighter and stronger. 7. Shows the aluminum pads on the motor mounts. 8. Is the cowl which I made from stacked pieces of 1/4" balsa, again because I didn't have a big block of balsa. 9. Shows the top of the fuselage. Just pick out the ones you want to use. I will send more as I get further along. This was a short kit from John Lowrey. Nice lazer cut stuff.
